Lancaster lit up the scoreboard in a 17-8 win over Westmoreland, while Deep Creek edged Hickory, 2-1, in a tight finish. Kellam controlled Ocean Lakes, 9-3, and Tuscarora slipped past Loudoun County, 3-2, in another one-run decision.
Yorktown beat Wakefield, 9-5; Strasburg nipped Central (Woodstock), 4-3; and Chilhowie powered past Honaker, 14-8. Lebanon topped Richlands, 9-5; Southampton blanked Nottoway, 3-0; Independence held off Gainesville, 7-6; Granby surged by Churchland, 17-2; and Brookville handled Rustburg, 3-1.
West Springfield defeated Robinson, 7-1; Edison outlasted Thomas Jefferson, 18-15; and Great Bridge rolled past Nansemond River, 13-3. Turner Ashby shut out William Monroe, 11-0; MadisonHS blanked South Lakes, 6-0; McLean overwhelmed Wash-Liberty, 15-1; Patrick County beat Carroll County, 5-2; Western Albemarle dominated Goochland, 10-0; and Wilson Memorial got past Buffalo Gap, 5-3.
