Top Five (03-28-25)

CLASS 6. A bit of a shakup, as previous #1 OSBOURN PARK lost to LANGLEY. LANGLEY would later lose to #3 MADISON. After a tumultous week, here’s your new top five:

  • WESTERN BRANCH. The top team for Class 6 and VHSL. WESTERN BRANCH had a good one against LANDSTOWN… but they are averaging more than 10 run wins per game…
  • GLEN ALLEN. GLEN ALLEN continues to win…. the games are close, though, and they’ll take on GODWIN next week, so we’ll see how they do….
  • MADISON. Once again, showing themselves to be dominant in Class 6. A convincing win against LANGLEY soldifies their spot.
  • OAKTON. Oakton is once again off to a commanding record early in the season. They’ll face conference rival WESTFIELD next week, though.
  • MCLEAN. MCLEAN rounds out our top five. They’ve had decent games so far, but the games have not all been run-aways.

CLASS 5. Big changes this week as HICKORY, BETHEL, and DEEP CREEK all tumbled out of the top five.

  • KELLAM goes from #5 to #1 with close wins over COX and GREAT BRIDGE.
  • GODWIN loses it’s #1 slot, but not because of losses. They’re set to play Class 6 Top 5 GLEN ALLEN next week.
  • KEMPSVILLLE had a dominant win over GREEN RUN. But they play the talented LANDSTOWN team this next week.
  • MIDLOTHIAN has four wins and remains undefeated. The Richmond-area suburb had a big win over CLOVER HILL this week.
  • LIGHTRIDGE. LIGHTRIDGE has had a good run so far– including a close win against SOUTH LAKES early in the season.
